A new way to fly

A321 Design - Mint Experience

JetBlue

Challenge
Elevate JetBlue’s customer experience as the airline entered its second decade—raising expectations beyond its already award-winning service. The goal was to introduce a new A321 aircraft that would deliver multiple brand firsts in comfort, technology, and design, while also creating JetBlue’s inaugural premium front-cabin offering for transcontinental travelers. This required coordinating across major partners and reimagining the airline’s core experience from seat design to in-flight amenities.

Solution
I collaborated closely with teams from Paul Wylde, Airbus, Thompson Aero Seating, and others on a multi-year transformation of the JetBlue experience. The new A321 aircraft introduced power at every seat, next-generation Wi-Fi, and an enhanced cabin environment across the board. At the heart of the evolution was JetBlue’s first-ever premium cabin, Mint, featuring groundbreaking seating: retractable privacy dividers for paired travelers, sliding-door suites for solo flyers, and fully lie-flat 180º seats with built-in massage capabilities. The result was a leap forward in comfort and innovation—setting a new standard for JetBlue and its customers.
